The California Reading Association evaluates nonfiction books for kids and awards the Eureka! Book Award. This time, I AM THE THIRSTY DESERT was honored.

The Best STEM Book Award
This next award is new to Mims House Books! The National Science Teaching Association and the Children's Book Council team up for two awards each year. The Outstanding Science Trade Books award honors books with excellent science content. The Best STEM Book awards honor books that are concerned with scientific thinking and problem solving.
